Issue 4 theme: Climate!

Kia ora koutou, 

We’re excited to officially share that the theme for circular issue 4 is Climate!

Submissions will be open over the Aotearoa summer break from 1 December to 26 January, and we’re looking for genre-bending short stories, poetry, art and essays all responding to the theme Climate.

Our team would like to acknowledge that the shape of the world at present is severely affecting our Indigenous communities, our queer communities, women, and those with disabilities both visible and invisible. We condemn oppression, attempts at cultural diminishing and erasure, and ongoing colonisation.

We envision issue 4 as a conglomeration of political activism, existential dread, sustainability, dystopia/utopia, progression/regression, cycles, storms, animals, nature and planetary systems.
